A New Dynamic Duo: Northrop Grumman and Perales Consulting

“Perales’ performance has helped Northrop Grumman continue to deliver on the [Air Force] customer’s critical mission.” – Dave Henderson, Northrop Grumman

March 13, 2015

A veteran-owned small business, Perales Consulting Group, has been selected for a Northrop Grumman Supplier Award for 2014, in recognition of its outstanding support to the Enhanced Polar System (EPS) Command and Planning Segment (CAPS) prime contract. Perales made a significant contribution to the success of the EPS CAPS program developed in Northrop Grumman’s National/Military Systems operating unit in Redondo Beach, California.

The consulting group is located in Benson, Arizona with employees in Arizona, Colorado, and Washington State. The company specializes in providing integrated logistics support to the satellite communications industry. This experience is being leveraged on EPS CAPS to produce operations and maintenance instruction manuals and training materials when the control segment begins to deploy in 2016. Along with these products, Perales also supported the development of the CAPS Integrated Support Plan in preparation for the program’s critical design review (CDR) in May 2014.

Dave Henderson, the Northrop Grumman EPS CAPS hardware and logistics product team lead, says he appreciates Perales’ continued high performance on the program. “Perales’ performance has helped Northrop Grumman develop credibility with the [Air Force] customer and continue to deliver on their critical mission. They’ve shown how our integration and implementation plans for EPS CAPS will be efficiently implemented.”

In addition to their work leading up to CDR, Perales continues to bring ideas focused on long-term sustainment cost savings. The group’s prior experience and exemplary knowledge of Air Force operations and maintenance documentation standards are recognized by the customer and will help transition the system into regular operations.
